The Abundant Archive
is an independent curatorial project initiated for the realization, dissemination and collection of new research-driven artworks with a focus on locational identity. The Abundant Archive invites three artists, per year, to create an artwork thematically oriented towards the desire to investigate or understand the concept of a place, or “location” in its broadest, most discursive sense.

When finished, each work will be debuted with an opening and public event(s) in a Chicago-based art space. Works become part of the Abundant Archive, a permanent collection and lending library, and archived online with additional resources such as essays, interactive features and artist interviews.
